GET UP! (a spontaneous, mediocre, happy little poem)

My brothers are ultra cool
I weigh less than 120
people say nice things about my webpage
and my sister thinks I’m funny
My kids are smart and clever
my hubby’s really buff
my turkey turned out delicious
now I’m really stuffed

I deal with a lot of crap in life
though much because I’m mental
But that’s okay
I’m starting to learn
that happiness is fundamental

Loopy things get wrote at night
when I should be downstairs sleeping
but I thought it was about the time to say
you should never give up on your heart the way
I almost did when times were almost unbearable

Great things abound in this awful world
when you dry your eyes and deliberately look
We’re here whenever you’re ready
don’t trick yourself
into thinking we’re not
they are
you are
we are
here whenever you’re ready

so E me if you’re having trouble
seeing through your crap
I’m drawing a map
because
happiness loves company too

I did a lot of thanks-giving this year

How's that for anti-angst? :-)

Here's a silly idea for you:
My big sister has a collection of what she calls her "laughing pictures." Whenever she's feeling really down (she may even be more mental than me!,) she pulls out this thing.
These are pictures she's found, which she thinks are absolutely hysterical! For example, one is a picture of me and her at my high school graduation. It seems that, just as the picture was snapped, my tassle swung over in front of my nose (looks like I've got a "cyranose") Okay, maybe you wouldn't find that so funny, but it does look pretty comical (the silly interrupting the serious.) I'm laughing right now just thinking about it!
Her collection is quite useful at times.
